What an adventure it has been this week. Austin has had unusually cold weather, so bad that the National Weather Service has posted Severe Weather Warnings and recommended everyone to stay home. Luckily for us we were given some warning over the weekend so Doug went out and stocked up on food for us so we can hibernate for the week. It was mostly being iced in yesterday and then around 10:30 this morning it started to snow. Meisha was in seventh heaven she layed out on our patio all day we pratically had to drag her when we went to bed last night.
Doug and I started to get cabin fever around 4:00 p.m. today so we decided to do some laundry. The laundry facility is in the complex but it's on the other end so it's about a 7 minute walk (I've timed it) we bundled up put all our clothes in a big back pag and we were off to do some laundry. We have the perfect system down. Put all the clothes in the washer, go to the work out room which is right across the hall, by the time we're done with our work out it's time to put the clothes in the dryer which give us an hour to go and get the dogs take them for a nice walk back to the laundry room. Well bless Shaggy's heart, he's definitely not a snow dog. We had him all bundled up in his winter sweater and coat. He was fine walking to the laundry room but just couldn't make it back. This is a picture of him wrapped up in Dougie's arms for the walk back. The sight of the two of them had me in tears the whole way back. Maybe it's the pregnancy but I lauged so hard I almost peed myself.
