In April we flew to Southern California for Daddy’s good friend Steve Ford and Molly’s wedding. You can imagine how thrilled I was when they asked you to be a flower girl in their wedding. Daddy’s was the best man and there would be no other children invited to the wedding except you. After much research on when and where the wedding would be I realized that our hotel was exactly 4 miles from Disneyland. So of course we had to schedule in an extra day to take you to Disneyland.
When we first arrived at Disneyland we tried to go on the carousel but you were really not interested. Instead you wanted to go on the Tea Cup ride. Then it was off to meet Tinker Bell, your absolute favorite. The wait in line was about 30 minutes which was hard for us let alone a 22 month old. At last it was our turn the first corner we turned as we entered Pixie Hollow we saw Fawn. She knelt down opened her arms and you ran right to her. It was the sweetest thing ever. You then became very interested in her garden and not really so much her. We were able to get your attention back to walking through Pixie Hollow and then we saw the main attraction, Tinker Bell. You ran up to her showed her where you had you cast told her about it and then gave her a big hug. I never thought I would be crying at Disneyland but the joy I felt seeing how excited you were to see her brought tears to my eyes. When we had to leave her so the rest of the children could come through you were extremely upset. We had to pick you up and carry you out all the while you crying” no Tinker Bell bye bye” Another moment that brought tears to my eyes. After seeing how well you had done in Pixie Hollow we decided to go and see Minnie and Mickey Mouse. Another long line but this time you could actually see Minnie Mouse while we were waiting. She was standing on her front porch. The whole 30 minute wait you were on your Daddy’s shoulders yelling “Hi Mickey” (you call Minnie, Mickey too) of course I had you dressed in an adorable Minnie inspired outfit which you received much attention for. As soon as it was our turn your attitude towards Minnie completely changed. You wouldn’t get near her. The rest of our visits with Mickey and Pooh bear went exactly the same way. At least you were enjoying seeing them from afar. All in all it was a great day. I think besides meeting Tinker Bell your favorite ride was it’s a small world.
